Canada's Wonderland - October 30th, 2022

On Sunday, October 30th I made my 9th visit of the season to Canada's Wonderland to take in some final rides during the regular operating season and to take in some Halloween Haunt on its final night!

The day started out very foggy and cool until the sun came out in the late morning. The evening for Halloween Haunt was very enjoyable too thanks to the above seasonal temperatures that we have been seeing lately. I was able check out all the mazes and scare zones multiple times throughout the evening and even get some night rides, including the last train of the night and of the 2022 season on Vortex!

I sure had a great day! Be sure to enjoy some photos of my day at the park! :-)

When driving through Vaughan, I came into some very dense fog. It lingered on through Canada's Wonderland, creating a very eerie scene as I pulled into the parking lot!

Trust me, there is an amusement park among that dense fog!

Ah, that's a bit better!

The fog lingered on throughout the morning. There was not many people waiting to get in on this damp Sunday morning.

As the sun began to shine bright, the fog began to somewhat lift as the park was opening for the day.

The Bat looks quite nice in a light layer off fog.

I was among the first to ride Leviathan for the day. While standing at the top of the stairs I took this stunning shot of Wilde Beast. The clouds in the sky were quite wispy!

The fog rolled through the park into the early afternoon making Yukon Striker's first drop almost invisible.

Behemoth provided phenomenal airtime filled rides on this cool late-October day!

Sledge Hammer was operating quite well too!

I always enjoy Fall photos, especially of those featuring amusement rides!

The park was preparing the Royal Fountain for Winterfest as it transforms into the Snowflake Lake skating rink.

The angle of the lighting in late October allows for some vibrant outdoor photos!

Here's a trainload of passengers on Yukon Striker as they navigate the fun zero-g winder inversion!

Somehow I had managed to get a front row seat on Flight Deck, something I haven't done in a while. It's arguably not bad if you make your restraint tight and keep your head firmly against the headrest as I have done for many years now.

Here I am leaving the park before coming back for a spooky night at Halloween Haunt!

Just a little over an hour later, the gates reopened as the monsters came out from hiding for the final night of Halloween Haunt! This monster was really keen on showing me their tortured teddy bear. lol

With the monster scare actors walking about in combination with the fog, International Street felt quite eerie.

The display on International Street looks great in the early evening as the sun slowly sets.

I like it how some of the TV screens on International Street displayed some spooky window scenes, adding to the overall atmosphere.

After a long day's rest, the ogre near Medieval Faire had sprung back to life!

At 6:30pm, the Crypt (one of five mazes) had opened. I was the first to walk through for the evening. The theming inside is very good, just like I had remembered it from a few years ago.

After going through the Crypt, I took a walk over to the far side of Wonder Mountain to join other guests as they waited for the rest of the park to open for the night. Wonder Mountain looks quite quite ominous under blue and red lights!

After the remainder of the park opened, I went through The Ruins and Pandemonium. During my two Fall seasons of working during Halloween Haunt as a maze usher in 2018 and 2019, it was nice to see that the Blackout was replaced with Pandemonium. It is a maze filled with many cool effects!

After The Ruins and Pandemonium, I headed over to Corn Stalkers and Spirit Manor. Both are great mazes filled with tons of scare actors and details!

Spirit Manor and Cornstalkers are a two for one maze. Between the two mazes you walk along very foggy paths that create an awesome setting, one which you normally wouldn't get to experience!

One of the scare zones I checked out was Farmstead. It is located along the path to Splash Works in Frontier Canada and features some scare actors.

I really like it how dark the park is during Halloween Haunt. It was amazing to hear a train on Yukon Striker zip by in the dark!

Streets of the undead was another interesting scare zone located in Action Zone near Behemoth.

It sort of had a post-apocalyptical vibe with abandoned vehicles and zombies.

It was very hard to get a good shot of the some of the scare actors.

Action Zone was home to the show Skeleton Crew. The show featured many acrobatic stunts. Of interest, the show was ushered by Rob, a former Halloween Haunt co-worker. It was great seeing him again after a few years!

No night show is complete without some fire!

There was a lot of twirling in this show!

They were going at quite a speed that would make most of us dizzy!

Here is one of the performers on a tightrope performing various stunts.

In my opinion, the unicycle riding and the ladder climbing are the most impressive stunts to be performed on a tightrope!

Here's the ladder climbing that I had mentioned.

The Skeleton Crew show ended with two skeletons performing flips and jumps onto a trampoline below!

Overall, the show was quite good and lasted for approximately 15 minutes.

The Vampire Disco was kind of neat. Too bad they didn't play some Halloween themed music.

The path near Backlot Cafe in Grande World Exposition of 1890 was filled with fog and scare actors. The fog was quite thick at times making it hard to see where you were going!

Gravestones always add to the spookiness!

The lights in Grande World Exposition of 1890 are quite neat as they feature fake carved pumpkins instead of the regular light covers.

The Jack o' lantern covering the globe looks quite illuminated at night!

I've always enjoyed this section of the park during the Halloween season as the hanging jack o' lanterns are very cool!

During Halloween Haunt the courtyard of Medieval Faire is home to Kingdom of Carnage.

Ghastly kings try to take reign of this kingdom!

The classic Carnevil scrae zone was bustling with tons of activity as it is located in the heart of the park!

Carnevil really features some ghoulish freaks! haha

The scare actors were planning on how to scare some guests!

It's always fun taking some photos of the park at night anytime of the year, especially during Halloween Haunt!

During Halloween Haunt, Arthur's Baye in Medieval Fair is home to the pyrotechnic and dive show Inferno.

It sure got quite toasty as the devil arrived!

This show draws quite the crowd!

Twirling fire and flames look quite awesome!

The twirling of a fire cube and triangle were a nice touch to the show!

International Street was casted with green and blue lights as fog slowly rolled through.

The marching band is always cool to see! This year they were illuminated in green!

I just love the atmosphere of Halloween Haunt.

The Pumpkin stacks in Frontier Canada look nice at night!

The park almost looks abandoned from this angle!

Some of the attractions that were closed at night during Haunt were casted with coloured floodlights.

From the Thunder Run queue line you can get a great view of Klockwerks.

Klockwerks is a great ride to take long exposure shots of!

Klockwerk's rising and spinning motions make it look quite chaotic at night when captured in a photo!

The large spiders under vortex were illuminated in an eerie sort of way!

I finished my night at Halloween Haunt by being on the last train of the night and season on Vortex! It always provides a wild ride!

Here I am looking quite blue as I leave the park for the night!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself checking out all the mazes and scare zones during Halloween Haunt at Canada's Wonderland! It was awesome how they had many scare actors at the front of the park screaming at guests to leave as the park was now closed for the night!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my photos of another amazing day and night at Canada's Wonderland! :-)
