Canada's Wonderland- July 20th, 2016

Here are some photos from my 7th visit to Canada's Wonderland this season! Scott and our Mom had came along for the trip today. Today was a nice but, quite warm day. The lines were a little longer than I had hoped but, we still had a great day! We also rode quite a bit as well. I even tried out the Virtual Reality (VR) on Thunder Run which is new this year and only available to season pass holders at the moment. It was fun and slightly scary at times! But, I won't tell you what I saw while riding Thunder Run using VR! So, you will have to wait and see for yourself! Now on to the photos!

You can tell that it was kind of cloudy and hazy this morning while we walked through the gate around 9:40am.
After riding some rides and getting slightly wet on White Water Canyon, we decided to walk along the path which connects White Water Canyon to Splashworks and Action Zone. This small ICEE stand was actually open today! I don't recall seeing it open since a couple of summers ago. I guess since the park was busy and the weather was hot, they decided to open it.
While Scott and I were waiting to ride Swing of The Century I decided to get some neat shots from the queue line of this great classic.
Here's another shot of Swing of The Century operating from the queue line.
In order to get these interesting shots, I leaned my camera against the queue line divider.
Here is a photo of the wonderful architect that can be seen along International Street.
Here is a shot of Skyhawk. You can see the riders flapping their wings and trying to flip upside down.
I rode Skyhawk twice today, making my total rides on Skyhawk up to 13 rides! Ever since my eighth ride, I've been able to flip upside down various times as it all depends on the wind speeds at the time. There is also a certain technique that riders need to use in order to flip upside down. You can read about how to successfully flip upside down in my video description which can be found further down.
Remember last time when I had reported an installation of the water fountain in Vortex's helix? Well, sometime within the past two weeks, the park had added another water fountain alongside Vortex. I like it when the park adds scenic features like this! :-)
Here is a shot with one of Vortex's trains passing by.
Unfortunately Sledgehammer was down today. Every time I've visited this year, it has been up and operating quite well. Hopefully it will be up and running again soon as it's the only one of its kind in the World.
When we had passed by in the morning, the grey restraint control boxes were disconnected from the seats and laying on the ground. When we walked by later, the grey restraint control boxes were reconnected to the seats and the giant door on the main structure was closed again. I would like to mention that the 2015 season was the best that Sledgehammer had seen in a long time. Hopefully the rest of this season can be just as successful for Sledgehammer!
Here is a photo of Scott, our Mom, and I after having a wonderful day at Canada's Wonderland! It was a really great day even though the park was slightly busy but, that is what you can expect as it's mid to late July. Thanks for looking at my photos and be sure to watch my off-ride Skyhawk video below! :-)
