Saturday's weather was rainy at times, making it a great day for my sixth visit of the season to Canada's Wonderland on this Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend! The rainy weather made the lines for the rides nearly non-existent, thus allowing me to get on nearly 20 different rides, some more than once within seven hours.
Also during my visit, I looked at the Halloween Haunt scare zones in the daylight that are set up around the park this October. I also hung out with fellow enthusiasts Matt and Tyler for the last couple of hours of my visit. We rode a few rides together, including my last ride of the day, Leviathan!
Be sure to enjoy some photos from my visit to Canada's Wonderland, as seen below!

This is what the entrance to the park looked like at 9:40am, 20 minutes before the park officially opened for the day! It was quite surprising to see considering it was the Thanksgiving long weekend! But the rain sure kept people away! |
The pumpkin display on International Street brightened up this somewhat dreary Saturday in October! |
At both sides of the flowerbed at the base of the Royal Fountain were these goofy looking skeletons.
Since my last visit to Canada's Wonderland in mid-September, the globe in the Grande World Exposition of 1890 had been turned into a Jack o'Lantern once again for the Halloween Haunt season. |
The rope drop at Grande World Exposition of 1890 had very few people waiting for a day of thrills. |
I started off my day with a quick ride on Backlot Stunt Coaster followed by Behemoth, which I was the only one on the train at the time! |
Afterwards I rode Sledge Hammer. I managed to get four rides on it throughout my visit! |
In front of Time Warp is the Halloween Haunt scare zone, Forest of Fear. In the daytime you can see it uses some interesting props such as this old row boat. With the use of lighting and scare actors, I imagine this area looks quite different at night. |
In the Frontier Canada section alongside Yukon Striker is the Farmstead scare zone. Once night rolls around, the area is probably lurking with some rather interesting characters. |
In Medieval Faire is the Kingdom of Carnage. The props used for this scare zone look rather interesting. |
It would be neat to see how the scare actors use the props within the area trying to scare unsuspecting victims, err I mean guests during Halloween Haunt. |
Here's a look at a relatively empty Medieval Faire. The rain continued to make the crowds minimal! |
From Thunder Run's queue I managed to capture this closeup shot through the trees of Shockwave in action! |
Here comes the train of Thunder Run speeding into the station. |
For the 2021 edition of Halloween Haunt, the park set up the Trick-Or-Treat scare zone up along the path underneath Vortex. |
Creepy zombie pumpkins have overtaken Xtreme Skyflyer which sat non-operational this year due to the pandemic. |
Throughout Medieval Faire were some nice bale, flowers, and pumpkin arrangements such as the one pictured. |
The guy in the CarnEvil ticket booth near Thunder Run looked to be a bit out of it. ;-) |
The Fly was providing thrills filled with tight turns between the periods of rain. |
Behemoth sure is filled with a lot of airtime! |
In front of Timberwolf Falls were these interesting pumpkin sculptures, adding to the Fall and Halloween theming. |
After a day of fun in the rain, it was time to go as the park closed at 5pm in order to prepare for the nighttime operation of Halloween Haunt. Thank you for checking out my photos of my day at Canada's Wonderland! :-) |
