Canada's Wonderland - August 16th, 2023

Happy National Roller Coaster Day! 🎢

Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 marked my sixth visit of the season to Canada's Wonderland, which happened to coincide with National Roller Coaster Day! The weather was really nice as there was a slight breeze. But whenever the weather is nice, the park becomes quite busy! Despite how busy the park was, I still managed to have a great time! My brother Scott and our Mom joined me today.

Be sure to take a look at some of my photos of our day spent at Canada's Wonderland!

Since my last visit to Canada's Wonderland on July 25th, the park upped their security by fencing off the entrance plaza and adding new metal detectors before the entrance gates. While the intentions are good, the execution of the new metal detectors is a bit chaotic and needs some improving to help with the flow of guests.

Once inside we were greeted by a bright and sunny International Street.

The Halloween Haunt shack is now on display, which means that Halloween Haunt season isn't too far away now!

With it being National Roller Coaster Day, there was no better way than starting it off with a ride on Behemoth!

Scott and I were on the second train of the day. I always enjoy the airtime on Behemoth. After a ride on Behemoth, we rode Sledge Hammer.

On our way over to Tundra Twister, I took a photo of the advertisement for the new-for-2024 addition for Splash Works, Moosehorn Falls.

I love how Tundra Twister and Yukon Striker interact with each other!

Tundra Twister seemed to have been operating on a less intense program this visit. I rode it three times throughout the day.

Tundra Twister is a highly photogenic ride!

Today Tundra Twister's gondolas did more rolling than flipping.

While in Frontier Canada, Scott and I rode Tundra Twister, followed by Timberwolf Falls and Whiter Water Canyon. To dry off, we took a spin on Vortex, our second roller coaster of the day! While the line was really long, the Vortex crew always manages to keep the line moving!

Scott and I managed to sit in the second car of the train on Vortex, which is very forceful!

Behemoth and Mighty Canadian Minebuster were thrilling park visitors all morning and afternoon.

Action Zone was quite crowded on this mid-August afternoon!

The hanging baskets around the park were looking quite beautiful thanks to the tons of rain we have received this summer.

If you look closely, you can see Leviathan peeking out from behind this planter on the bridge on International Street.

You know it's a busy day at Canada's Wonderland when many of the roller coasters' lines are out the queues!

Vortex was highly photogenic on this National Roller Coaster Day!

Timberwolf Falls was cooling down park guests on-ride and on the bridge all day!

Scott and I finished our day off at Canada's Wonderland with a ride on Dragon Fyre followed by a round on Krachenwagen. While it was busy, we still had a great time! :-)
