Canada's Wonderland - August 13th, 2025

On Wednesday, August 13th, I made my seventh visit of the season to Canada's Wonderland! It was quite hot and humid, so we only spent about 7 hours at the park. Regardless, it was a great time as I managed to get on 12 different rides! My brother Scott and our mom joined me today.

Be sure to enjoy the photos from my visit! 🙂

We arrived at Canada's Wonderland just after 9:30am.

Since it is now August, the promoting of Halloween Haunt is now in full swing as it begins in just over a month from now.
New this year for Halloween is The Conjuring Beyond Fear maze, which is an upcharge attraction. Also new this year, guests attending Halloween Haunt will need to purchase a Haunted Attractions Pass to access the mazes, unlike in previous years.
While some may disagree to make the mazes an upcharge to Halloween Haunt, I kind of agree with this move as it will possibly reduce the over crowding of the mazes and hopefully reduce the vandalism and mischief in the mazes that often occurs.

To start our day, Scott and I made The Bat our first ride of the day. It was actually quite smooth today!

After The Bat, we headed over to Drop Tower. Drop Tower was closed during our past few visits, so it was great to freefall once again!

After freefalling at speeds up to 100 km/h, we went to Wilde Knight Mares. I don't tend to ride it very often, so it was nice to take a spin on it today.

With Leviathan's line being around 30 minutes, we took a ride on it! It provided a great ride today!

After an exhilarating ride on Leviathan, we boarded Vortex. The line was long, but moved quickly! I always enjoy the swinging on this rare suspended coaster!

Afterwards, we went to Lazy Bear Lodge for lunch. For my first meal of the day, I ordered hickory smoked chicken with a side of chili lime corn. It was really good and not spicy, but sweet, which was great!

After having a great meal, I walked across to Cookie Café and ordered a broken cookie ice cream sundae. It was quite good and had crispy chocolate chip cookie and ice cream cone pieces mixed into vanilla ice cream.

To cool off, Scott and I rode White Water Canyon.

To dry off, I took a spin on Tundra Twister. Today's ride featured a head dive towards the ground!

Scott and I then rode Mighty Canadian Minebuster. The line was quite long, so we used one of our one-time, single use Fast Lane passes for renewing our season pass recently to get on quickly. Our ride on Mighty Canadian Minebuster was just as great as our last with the retracking that occurred earlier this year!

While passing through Action Zone, I was surprised to see Chicken Shack open today! I am quite certain that it hadn't been open in over two years!

Sledge Hammer was unfortunately closed today. Luckily it had been operating during all of our previous visits.

With Sledge Hammer closed, we decided to ride Behemoth. It was filled with air-time goodness as always!

While passing through Grande World Exposition of 1890, Scott and I took a spin on Swing of The Century.

Afterwards, we took a ride on Antique Carousel with our mom.

It still saddens me to see Grande World Eatery closed. I don't completely understand why they closed it down last month, but I guess it is to save money. Hopefully it opens again in the not so distant future!

While we didn't ride AlpenFury today, I captured some photos of it, such as this one of the train passing through the skyflyer loop!

We made our way to Medieval Faire where I rode Dragon Fyre and then Scott joined me for another ride on Drop Tower. Afterwards, I headed back to Lazy Bear Lodge for my final meal of the day. The ribs and smashed potatoes were decent.

After a fun and hot day at the park, we decided to head home! 🙂

Canada's Wonderland - July 27th, 2025

On Sunday, July 27th, 2025, my brother Scott and I made our sixth visit of the season to Canada's Wonderland! In the early afternoon, we met up with our friend Amadeo to ride some rides together, including the new AlpenFury! We also got some relief from the heat and humidity by standing on the bridge at TimberWolf Falls twice during the afternoon! 🤣

It was a great day as Scott and I spent the whole day at the park, riding many rides thanks to the smaller than expected crowds. Amadeo, Scott, and I finished our amazing day with a last train of the night ride on Leviathan!

Be sure to enjoy the photos from our visit shared below! 🙂

The humidity was starting to set in as Scott and I arrived at the park just before 9am.

On weekends, the park has early ride time for pass holders for AlpenFury and some of the other rides in AlpenFest. Due to the popularity of AlpenFury, which just opened a little over two weeks ago, the early ride time is really just an opportunity to get in line before the rest of the park opens, causing the line to become even longer.

Since our last visit nearly two weeks ago, a shade structure was recently added to the queue of AlpenFury, providing some relief from the sun!

The only downside with the new shade structure is it doesn't really protect your from the angle of the morning sun. I kind of wish it was a single structure rather than single canopies.

While waiting for AlpenFury, it did have a couple of temporary delays, but the wait was worth it! Scott and I both agreed that AlpenFury rode significantly better this visit than our last visit! It was a great third ride for me!

Here's another shot of the station.

Launching out of Wonder Mountain is still just as insane as it was on my first rides on AlpenFury two weeks ago!

After waiting approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes for AlpenFury, Scott and I headed over to a quiet Action Zone. We got in line for Sledge Hammer, which had a next ride wait. It rode great as usual!

Up next, we got on Behemoth before meeting up with Amadeo! Behemoth had a 20-25 minute wait all day!

Amadeo and I got in line for Windseeker. While in line, I captured this photo looking up the 301 foot tall tower.

After getting back down to the ground from riding Windseeker, we got our first meal of the day at Lazy Bear Lodge. The ribs and smashed potatoes were actually very good this time! The unfortunate part was Lazy Bear Lodge was very busy and the available tables were very dirty, so we walked down to the former Chicken Shack location in Action Zone to find a table.

After our meal, we got in line for Yukon Striker which only had a 30 minute wait. To our surprise, we were able to a front row ride! I guess the heat and humidity was keeping people away!

Up next was a ride on Tundra Twister followed by a ride on Mighty Canadian Minebuster!

After a great ride on Mighty Canadian Minebuster, we got in line for Vortex. I don't mind waiting in a full line for Vortex as the queue is always moving. We got on Vortex in the second car, which was very forceful! I don't often get to ride near the front of the train, so it was fun to experience the forces of Vortex near the front again!

After an awesome ride on Vortex, Amadeo and I rode Shockwave while we waited for AlpenFury to reopen after a lengthy delay. We got many flips and stalls on Shockwave! It was possibly the best ride I had on it so far this year!

After getting off Shockwave, AlpenFury reopened! We quickly got in line as the queue was very short. I was excited for my fourth-ever ride on AlpenFury!

Unfortunately, what we thought was going to be a short wait (of around 40 minutes) turned into a two hour and 20 minute wait due to multiple temporary delays.

As we waited through the temporary delays, I managed to capture some great evening shots of the neighbouring rides as seen from the stairs of AlpenFury.

The wind had picked up in the afternoon, causing Drop Tower to remain closed for the rest of the day. But to my surprise, Windseeker continued to operate all day!

Here's a view of Wilde Knight Mares and Leviathan from the queue of AlpenFury.

After patiently waiting, we had a thrilling ride on AlpenFury. We then quickly headed over to KidzVille for our second meals of the day as the other dining locations were closing for the night. Scott and Amadeo had pizza from Pizza Pizza, while I had a tuna sub from Subway. After eating, we quickly headed over to White Water Canyon before it closed at 9pm for the night!

We ran through the queue to get to the station before they closed it down for the night! We were super grateful for the ride crew for allowing us a ride on it as it was just closing as we got to the platform!

Here we are after our evening ride on White Water Canyon! We all got equally soaked! 🤣

In an attempt to dry off, Amadeo and I rode Lumberjack!

After a fun ride on Lumberjack, Amadeo and I had a night ride on Wilde Beast!

Afterwards, Scott joined us for a night ride on Dragon Fyre. I forgot how forceful of a ride it is at the front of the train!

To finish the night, we rode on the last train of the night on Leviathan!

We waited just as they put the rope across the entrance. The line was half full, making it about a 30 minute wait. Here's a look down the stairs just before getting on for our final ride on the night!

Amadeo, Scott, and I got lucky for our last ride of the night as we rode in the last row of the train! Leviathan seems extremely forceful at night as we experienced very forceful airtime of the first drop and throughout the course of the ride! It was insane as it is something I don't get to experience all that often. Daytime rides are fun, but night time rides are on a completely different level!

It was almost 11pm as we were leaving the park! International Street was rather quiet at this time as most people had left the park by this time!

Here we are in front of the Royal Fountain on International Street before heading out for the night! We had an amazing time hanging out with Amadeo at Canada's Wonderland! Thanks to Amadeo for this photo! 🙂

Here's one final photo of AlpenFury at night! That is all from Scott and I's almost 14-hour visit to Canada's Wonderland!🙂
