Canada's Wonderland- May 19th, 2022

 It was a great day to be at Canada's Wonderland! While it started out slightly rainy, it quickly became pleasant and nice as the sun came out. The lines for the rides stayed short as the park was open until 6pm. During my time at the park, I was able to get on 19 different rides!

The showers were beginning to pass as the park opened for the day.

International Street looks great no matter the weather!

Snoopy was at the front of the park in the morning to greet guests as they entered the park!

The Victoria Falls were flowing off the edge of Wonder Mountain.

After getting some rides in on Thunder Run, Shockwave, The Fly, Drop Tower, and Leviathan, we decided to take a ride on The Bat, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year!

Great progress had been made on the construction of the new dining facility since our last visit to the park three weeks ago. It now has a roof and walls!

Here's a slightly elevated view of the font of the new dining facility under construction. It is a massive facility!

The construction crew was hard at work piecing it all together.

The newly constructed Cookie Café was closed, but there was a menu on the outside wall of the building. It's nice to see that Blue Ice Cream will be a regular item on the menu!

In the afternoon my brother Scott and I hung out in Action Zone and Grande World Exposition of 1890 for a little while, taking in the sights and sounds. The blossoms on the trees nearby the Antique Carousel were out in full bloom. They appeared to be more white in colour this year than their typical pink hue of springs past.

White Water Canyon and Timberwolf Falls open for the 2022 season on May 20th, a day after our visit. Pictured is one of Timberwolf Falls' boats parked on the lift hill awaiting its first riders of the year to go on a drenching adventure!

Scott captured this photo of myself taking a spin on Wilde Knight Mares, the rare Huss UFO ride that has been operating at the park since 1981.

The afternoon was full of blue skies and sunshine! My brother and I had a frigid ride on Leviathan earlier in the day!

Our last ride of the day was on Krachenwagen, the park's bumper car ride. Every so often the park seems to touch up this classic attraction. This year one of the cars were painted a bright shade of green! Maybe they'll continue to freshen up the other cars in the future!
