Canada's Wonderland - October 12th, 2024

On October 12th, 2024, my brother Scott and I made a visit to Canada's Wonderland, making it my 9th visit of the 2024 season!

The day started out very cool and windy. Throughout the day, the breeze went down, allowing us to feel the warmth from the sun while riding rides! The park wasn't too busy today as it was only open until 5pm to only reopen at 7pm for Halloween Haunt. We had a very fun time riding rides and looking at the Halloween decorations.

Be sure to check out the photos of our great day at Canada's Wonderland! 🙂

The Fall/Halloween display on International Street were very vibrant under the bright morning sun!

I always enjoy the Fall decorations and displays that are set up around the park this time of year.

Over the past month or so, many trees had been removed around the park for the construction of AlpenFury, the new roller coaster coming in 2025.

Also, the opening for AlpenFury on Wonder Mountain has began to evolve.

Our first rides of the day were on Vortex and Wonder Mountain's Guardian.

The leaves on the trees have significantly changed colour over the past month since our previous visit.

The bright sun was greatly appreciated as the breeze was quite cool!

After riding a few rides, we ventured through the daytime versions of Trick-Or-Treat Street and Spirit Manor.

During the day, you can see the great detail put into these scare zones and attractions.

I had found a perfect place to rest for a quick moment between rides. 😂

Scott also took a quick rest! 😂

For my first meal of the day, I ate at the Lazy Bear Lodge. With the Fall season now here, the menu has changed. Today I ordered the 'Bear Bites' pulled chicken sandwich (almost like a breakfast sandwich), with a side of chili, and a potato roll. All were quite good. I just wish the biscuit for the sandwich wasn't quite as crumbly.

Just look at the beautiful Fall foliage as seen in Action Zone!

After lunch we took a spin on Sledge Hammer. Five out of six gondolas were operating again.

After Sledge Hammer and Behemoth, we waked through the Necropolis scare zone in front of Time Warp in Grande Worlde Exposition of 1890.

In front of the Grande World Eatery was a hearse with a coffin inside.

The Grande World globe was looking quite happy as a jack-o-lantern!

The Moroccan building is home to the Halloween Bootique store for the Halloween Haunt season.

It has many cool Halloween souvenirs inside. Too bad this store wasn't year round as this building sits vacant for most of the season.

Since our last visit in September, the large map display boards have been replaced with digital kiosks. They aren't operational as of yet, but I assume they will be powered on soon.

Scott found himself locked up in Medieval Faire. If he stayed there too long, he may look like some of the props used for Halloween Haunt! 💀

The new diving structure in Arthur's Baye in Medieval Faire mas decorated for the Inferno Halloween Haunt show.

Here's another festive Fall display in Medieval Faire near the arcade.

The Mums were quite vibrant at this display.

In the early afternoon Scott and I took a ride on Drop Tower. Here's a view of the cars in freefall as seen from the queue.

After taking a ride on Drop Tower, Spinovator, and Dragon Fyre, I took a spin on Shockwave.

After a ride on Shockwave, I got a Spooky Butter Ice Cream Cone from the Cookie Café. It was very purple and creamy!

Going through Spirit Manor and Cornstalkers during the day is always neat to see as you get to see all the details in the daylight.

This scarecrow looks a lot friendly than the ones that lurk around at night!

So many trees around the park were quite vibrant and colourful!

During the day, Camp Spooky, the Halloween Event for children was happening. Here is Snoopy wearing his costume.

More bales, cornstalks, pumpkins, and mums were on display in Planet Snoopy.

The display for Camp Spooky is very nice too.

Behemoth and vibrant Fall foliage! What more could you ask for?

The trees around Wonder Mountain near Thunder Run had also began to change.

Such displays are why I love the Fall season!

My second meal of the day was at the Grande World Eatery. I ordered a bacon cheese burger, with a side of rice, and flat bread. The burger was quite tasty!

My second last ride of the day was a re-ride on Tundra Twister. Scott captured this photo of me just as the ride began to spin.

I know I have said this many times, but Tundra Twister is a fun ride with many twists and flips, making each ride unique! Over a year later, some of its cycles still catch me by surprise!

Scott and I's final ride of the day was on Spinovator.

Here is Scott and I before heading out as it was after 5pm and people were heading to the exit. It was a really fun day! I cannot wait for next year!

Here is one final look at Wonder Mountain before heading out of the park. The view will look a bit different with AlpenFury sticking out on the south side of the mountain. I feel this is my final visit of the 2024 season! What a great season it was making a total of nine visits to the park this year and hanging out with some awesome friends along the way! I am looking forward to 2025! Thanks for checking out my photos of our day at Canada's Wonderland!😀
