Winterfest at Canada's Wonderland - November 17th, 2024

On November 17th, I visited Winterfest at Canada's Wonderland with my brother Scott, our Mom, and our friends Amadeo and Daniel!

It was great being back at this festive event riding rides, looking at the lights, having a holiday meal, and checking out some of the shows! It was six hours of fun! Be sure to enjoy my photos of my visit to Winterfest at Canada's Wonderland! 🎄🙂

We arrived at the park around 2:30pm.

Here's the front gate at Canada's Wonderland all decorated for Winterfest. Santa's sleigh was parked on the roof once again.

Just before 3pm, we were let into the park.

International Street was all decked out with Christmas lights and decorations.

Once the rest of the park opened, I captured some photos of AlpenFury's construction.

More footings for Alpenfury have been installed near International Showplace.

There were many merry and festive characters walking around the park greeting many guests.

While on our way to Sledge Hammer and Psyclone, I noticed a new (temporary?) structure in Grande Worlde Exposition of 1890 near Antique Carousel. It replaced the smaller Expo Snacks booth.

Sledge Hammer and Psyclone were both running very good!

After riding Sledge Hammer and Psyclone, Scott, Amadeo, and I partook in the Polar Party show. Amadeo and Scott participated in the Candy Cane Limbo.

It was a fun and hilarious time!

I partook in the Christmas Tree decorating. My team won! lol

Here's the final result! 🤣

For winning in the competitions, Amadeo and I got these cool Christmas glasses!

After the Polar Party, we caught the last few minutes of the Four Drummers Drumming show near Vortex. It was nice!

While heading over to Klockwerks and Thunder Run, I took this photo of the construction for AlpenFury in International Festival. The ICEE stand had been demolished since my last visit in October. The shade canopy over Shockwave's queue had also been removed for now.

International Festival (known as Tinsel Town during Winterfest) was decorated quite beautifully as it was in previous years!

After some delays, we finally rode Thunder Run. We met up with Daniel afterwards.

The park really comes to life during Winterfest once the sun sets!

Every day during Winterfest at 5:30pm, the Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place at the foot of Snowflake Lake on International Street.

There is a lot of singing and dancing before the trees are lit up!
While the show was great, it didn't have any Christmas songs in it this year. But the performers did a great job regardless!

Snoopy and a guest family helped light up the two giant Christmas trees!

It's always a magical experience seeing the trees glow with thousands of lights!

They shimmer with many different coloured lights.
Even Wonder Mountain becomes festive with its trickling lights.

The lights along International Street are beautiful!

Thankfully it was warm enough to enjoy the sights without freezing!

After the Tree Lighting Ceremony, we headed over to Lazy Bear Lodge for a meal. Lazy Bear Lodge looks amazing with Christmas decorations!

I had the Winterfest exclusive Smoked Turkey Holiday Dinner served with smoked turkey topped with gravy, stuffing, broccoli casserole, and a side of cranberry sauce. It was quite delicious!

Medieval Faire (known as Yuletide Village during Winterfest) was looking awesome with its lights.

While walking through Yultide Village on our way to Tinker's Toy Factory show in Canterbury Theatre, I captured this photo of Christmas trees in front of the Arcadium.

There was a strong holiday atmosphere here.

Mr. and Mrs. Candy Cane were wandering around Yuletide Village.

We got in line for the popular Tinker's Toy Factory show in Canterbury Theatre. The show began at 7pm. It was a great Christmastime show filled with many acrobatic stunts!

After taking in Tinker's Toy Factory, we rode Viking's Rage and Wilde Knight Mares.

It's great to see these classic rides still running in the late-season at the park!

Afterwards, we ventured over to Candycane Lane and Charlie Brown's Christmas Town (Planet Snoopy and Kidzville). The park does such a great job decorating these areas of the park!

While walking through, my Mom got a photo taken with Linus, Lucy, and Sally!

Carolers were singing classic Christmas tunes.

The colourful Christmas lights are always nice to see!

While in the area, Scott, Amadeo, Daniel, and I rode Taxi Jam! 🤣

Frontier Canada was home the dancing light show this year. In previous years it was located under Vortex. It was a nice way to fill the area.

Here is Scott, our mom, and I standing behind a giant Christmas Wreath in Frontier Canada.

Just before getting in line for our final ride of the night on Thunder Run, I captured this photo of Klockwerks in action!

Thanks to Amadeo for taking this photo of us on the last ride of the night on Thunder Run!

After our final ride on Thunder Run, it was time for us to leave for the night as the park was closed!

It was a great evening filled with tons of festive fun!

Here's a group photo of my mom, myself, Scott, Amadeo, and Daniel.

Thanks for checking out my photos of our great time at Winterfest at Canada's Wonderland! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!🎄😊
