Canada's Wonderland - May 21st, 2026

It was a great day for my second visit of the season at Canada's Wonderland!

Just like my first visit of the season, it was mostly school groups at the park, making the lines relatively short. Scott and I managed to get on many rides, including White Water Canyon which opened for the season this past weekend!

During our visit, we also looked at some projects that have progressed since our last visit, including the transformation of The DareDeviler. I look forward to returning to the park again in a few weeks!

Enjoy the photos from my day at the park! ๐Ÿ™‚

The day started off somewhat cool, but sunny with a high of about 16°C! It's perfect roller coaster riding weather! ๐ŸŽข☀️

The floral Canadian flag was planted within the past week. A school group was blocking it on our way into the park.

Scott and I started our day with two laps on Behemoth!

We then took a ride on Yukon Striker! I forgot how snappy the third row is!

We then rode Vortex as its line was very short that morning.

White Water Canyon opened for the season just in time for the Victoria Day weekend. To our surprise, White Water Canyon now opens at 11am daily, like it had prior to two years ago! During the 2024 and 2025 season, it opened at 12pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends.
Due to the cooler weather, White Water Canyon was a walk-on both times we rode it.

For lunch, we went to Lazy Bear Lodge. I am still somewhat displeased by the smaller portions given this year. To note, the smashed potatoes have been replaced by potato wedges.

After our meal, we took a ride on Klockwerks. This classic has been delighting park goers for the past 45 years!

One of the Pass Perks for the month of May is $1 off a large Dippin' Dots. I don't normally buy Dippin' Dots, but thought to give the limited time Hawaiian Crunch flavour a try. It was quite delicious!

After I consumed my Dippin' Dots, Scott and I got on Drop Tower, which had a very short queue! An interesting thing we experienced that we have never experienced before while riding Drop Tower was gondola #5 kind of shook at the top of the tower as the lift motor didn't shut off until just before we dropped. ๐Ÿ˜‚

We then got in line for Leviathan which had an approximate 20 minute wait!

Scott and I then took a spin on Spinovator followed by a ride on Dragon Fyre. It rides very well in the cooler weather!

Since our previous visit, the newly renovated Sweet Spot on International Street opened.

This area was completely revamped, making it a modern retail location selling various sweets.

It's hard to believe this is the same location as the former Sweet Shoppe.

There are many options to choose from for the fudge lovers!

Wonder mountain was looking quite majestic under the late-Spring sun!

Speaking of Spring, the lilac blossoms have recently bloomed around the park!

While in Grande World Expo and Action Zone, we noticed that the ICEE location near the 3-point challenge game was recently repainted blue. It looks really good and much better than the faded yellow paint of its time as a Subway location prior to the 2025 season.

The trees around Antique Carousel and Swing of the century in Grande World Expo were also in full bloom during our visit!

While in Grande World Expo, we took a ride on Swing of the Century.

Here's a look at some beautiful pink blossoms near Antique Carousel.

Scott and I joined our mom for a ride on Antique Carousel!

While we saw this beautifully painted horse during our last visit, we didn't notice that it had a name on it. A couple of months ago, there was a post on social media asking guests to name the horse. To our surprise, they selected my brother Scott's suggestion of Northern Dancer, who was a race horse that became the first Canadian-bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby in 1964!๐Ÿ‡

There isn't too much grey paint left on what is now The DareDeviler!

The new paint scheme of gold and aqua green is looking really good!

Since our last visit on May 7th, the fighter jet has been removed. I suspect it will be replaced with a bi-plane to fit in with the theme of The DareDeviler!

We then circled back around to Frontier Canada where I took a ride on Tundra Twister, followed by another ride on White Water Canyon.

The newly constructed Coca-Cola Refresh Centre in KidzVille looks like it is almost ready to open.

The pink blossoms in Planet Snoopy looked vibrant against the blue sky! Ghoster Coaster had a short wait, so we took a ride on it.

These blossoms are just beautiful!

For our second meal of the day, we went to Aprรจs Poutinerie. It was good as it was during previous seasons. I just wish the cheese curds were slightly melted.

A new game has finally opened in the former Slap Shot hockey game location in AlpenFest that sat abandoned for the past several years. Last Fall this location was used as a souvenir shop for The Conjuring haunted attraction during Halloween Haunt. The new game and its renovated structure fits in very well in AlpenFest!

Scott and I took a ride on Krachenwagen. It was good, but many of the school kids don't know how to drive bumper cars, causing massive pile ups on the floor! ๐Ÿซค

I then took a ride on Shockwave, which was riding insanely well! I love it when the gondola flips and stalls upside down!

Our final ride of the day was on The Bat! It surprisingly only had a 15 minute wait in the late-afternoon!

Here we are before heading out for the day! It was another great visit of fun! Thanks for checking out my photos! ๐Ÿ™‚
