Canada's Wonderland - October 1st, 2022

On Saturday, October 1st, Scott and I made another visit to Canada's Wonderland, making it my 8th visit of the season!

The day started off quite cool until the sun came out in the early afternoon. The park was not very busy as it closes at 5pm and then reopens at 7pm for Halloween Haunt. We were able to get on many rides during our visit thanks to the lines being short and also having the Fast Lane Plus wristbands thanks to the Season Pass Renewal promotion that the park had during late-August.

Hopefully I can make another visit later this month! Be sure to enjoy the photos of our visit to Canada's Wonderland on this beautiful early Fall Saturday! :-)

We arrived at the park shortly after 9:30am on this cool and brisk Fall morning.

International Street was all decked out for the season!

After entering the park, Scott and I headed over to the Fast Lane booth in Medieval Faire to redeem our Fast Lane Plus wristbands as a part of a promotion for renewing our season passes in late-August. I had never had a Fast Lane pass before. It was kind of nice to have.

Our first ride of the day was a chilling one on Leviathan!

After Leviathan, we made a beeline to The Bat, a roller coaster we hadn't rode since earlier in the season as it was closed for most of the summer.

Here is a train load of passengers descending the first drop on The Bat! Little did I know until the ride stopped that Luke, a fellow enthusiast was on the ride at the time I had taken this photo!

The Bat had rode amazingly well after being closed for awhile!

After taking a ride on The Bat and Vortex, Scott and I walked by the new Lazy Bear Lodge restaurant that had opened last month. It looks amazing from the outside!

The Lazy Bear Lodge is located behind Wonder Mountain.

The amount of detail that went into it is amazing.

The sign for the new restaurant looks really good too!

The Lazy Bear Lodge features indoor dining as well as outdoor dining that consists of a nice patio and a balcony that gives you an awesome view of Yukon Striker and Vortex.

Being at Canada's Wonderland in the Fall is one of the best times to go as you get to see a lot of the beautiful Fall foliage around the park!

The trees along Coasters Diner were simply stunning!

Sledge Hammer was operating amazingly well all day long with the ride operators interacting with the riders throughout the ride!

With it being the Fall season at the park, Halloween Haunt is now in full swing, happening weekend evenings through the last weekend of October. There were many decorations around the park.

Medieval Faire featured Kingdom Carnage and the Day of the Dead Festival for Halloween Haunt this year. While I didn't visit at night, it is cool to see the amount of detail that goes into these areas.

Day of the Dead Festival area was rather well done with Mexican inspired theming.

Throughout Medieval Faire there are many bale and floral arrangements.

In front of Shockwave are some pumpkin skeleton type creatures. Shockwave's ride cycle was great as it started backwards during this visit!

Planet Snoopy and Kidzville were also decorated for the Fall and Halloween season as it was home to the Camp Spooky event for children.

During the day, the Spirt manor, Cornstalkers, and Farmstead Mazes/scare zones are open for guests to walk through without getting jump scared. Being able to walk through them during the day allows you to see the great amount of detail that gets put into these attractions.

Spirit Manor is a maze located in the old Action Theatre building. It features a lot of highly detailed rooms. When the scare actors are home, you sometimes miss certain details.

Up next we walked through Cornstalkers.

This maze mostly features thousands of cornstalks. At night scare actors line the walls, hoping to scare those who walk through!

During the day the area features some friendly looking scarecrows.

I had forgotten how much detail there is throughout Cornstalkers.

Lastly we walked through the Farmstead scare zone. It features wooden pallet walls, burlap curtains, and some wooden crates and barrels.

The Farmstead scare zone is located in Frontier Canada, between White Water Canyon and Splash Works.

From the path near Splash Works, you can get a decent view of the balcony on the new Lazy Bear Lodge restaurant.

After walking around and riding many rides, Scott took time for a little rest. ;-)

The gate located in front of Backlot Cafe is a nice touch.

The globe in Grande World Exposition of 1890 was done up as a giant Jack o' lantern again.

The huge spiders were lurking under Vortex once again!

The Bat had a long line all day long. Scott and I were lucky to have rode it in the morning!

These "pumpkin trees" are a nice touch to the Frontier Canada area.

This is the future home of Tundra Twister, a large Mondial Avalanche ride coming to the park in 2023!

Just before heading home I decided to take a small rest! ;-)

After nearly 7 hours of fun and many thrills, it was time for us to head home! Thanks for looking at our photos of another great visit to Canada's Wonderland! :-)
