On June 18th, 2025, I made my third visit of the season to Canada's Wonderland! My brother Scott and our mom tagged along for the day.
It was a very warm and humid day until it rained late in the afternoon. With the threat of rain and thunderstorms, I managed to get on quite a few rides! AlpenFury had done some testing before the park opened and then again as we were leaving. It looks to be a fun roller coaster and should be opening hopefully within the next few weeks!
Below are some photos of our day at Canada's Wonderland! 🙂
It was nice to be back at Canada's Wonderland, after travelling to Dollywood the week before. AlpenFury had began testing last week. As we pulled into the parking lot around 9:30am, the orange train had travelled along the icy looking track of AlpenFury. I believe the testing had stopped on AlpenFury once the park had opened until later in the afternoon. |
I am still getting used to seeing AlpenFury coming out of Wonder Mountain. At least it is painted a light blue, so it doesn't stick out too much. |
It was nice to see the track fully complete with testing well underway as it had been almost three weeks since my last visit! |
To start our day, Scott and I rode Behemoth followed by a ride on Yukon Striker. |
Sledge Hammer took a bit of time to open today. Here it is going through one of its test cycles. |
While waiting for Sledge Hammer to open, it took a ride on Psyclone to get a bit of a breeze on this humid morning. |
Since the last visit, the black sea container bar structure had been removed from Action Zone. Also of note, Mighty Canadian Minebuster is still being worked on. I am really looking forward to a smoother ride once it does reopen the retracking completed by Gravity Group! |
40 minutes after the park opened for the day, Sledge Hammer welcomed its first riders of the day! It provided a great ride as per usual! |
I did not ride Swing of the Century on this visit, but I did capture this photo! |
Afterwards, I took a ride on Tundra Twister. On our way through Frontier Canada, Scott and I were hoping to get a morning ride on Vortex. It was down for maintenance until about just before 3pm. We got to ride it then, just before it began to rain! |
To my surprise, Soaring Timbers was operating on this somewhat quiet day. I am not a huge fan of this ride, so I passed it by on this visit. |
As it was just after 11am at this point, I headed to Lazy Bear Lodge to redeem my first meal of the day. I had chicken with a side of smashed potatoes. The chicken was good, but the smashed potatoes were burnt! I don't understand why the quality of food at Lazy Bear Lodge is very inconsistent lately! Even though my meals are covered by the all-season dining plan, I feel kind of disappointed lately due to the less than ideal quality of the food served. I hope this issue gets resolved soon! |
While waiting for White Water Canyon and Timberwolf Falls opening for the day at 12pm, we walked through Alpen Fest to see how the station for AlpenFury was coming along. It is looking very good so far! I love how they're using the "Alpen" fencing on the queue! |
The orange train was parked in the station while construction crews worked around it. The blue train was no where in site during this visit. |
The former Hi-Striker game building was also being worked on today, giving it a fresh and updated look as it will serve as the entrance for AlpenFury. |
Using my camera, I managed to capture some details in the station of AlpenFury. I cannot wait for the final results! |
Once 12pm rolled around, Scott and I took a ride on White Water Canyon! It was a popular ride for park visitors to cool off on during this humid day! |
To cool of even more, I took a ride on Timberwolf Falls! The splashdown is always refreshing, and very, very wet! |
Here's a look at the opposite side of AlpenFury's station next to The Fly. The ground has been dug up. it looks like they have plans to level out the ground, removing the hill, making room for the AlpenFury queue line. |
It looks like more work has been done in Wonder Mountain alongside AlpenFury's track. For those who don't know, the park announced a promotional shoot for AlpenFury will commence on July 1st, 2025. They have quite a bit to get done over the next couple of weeks! |
The fence surrounding AlpenFury looks very nice. It's not very restricting, visually speaking, allowing you to get some good photos of the track! |
I next took a spin on Shockwave! This was the best ride I had on it so far this year! |
Up next, Scott joined me for a thrilling ride on Drop Tower! |
We then rode Leviathan, which only had a 25 minute wait! While in line, I captured this photo of Dragon Fyre, which we rode shortly afterwards. |
Before Dragon Fyre, we took a spin on Spinovator. It seemed to be operating faster than last time, which is great to see. Also, the yellow buckets are back in use! |
I just love how the park restored this classic ride during this past off-season. |
I know I've mentioned this before, but I love how close AlpenFury is to Vortex and Wonder Mountain's Guardian! |
On this visit, I ate another cone of blue ice cream! |
Before having my second meal of the day, Scott and I rode Vortex. Here's my second meal of the day at Lazy Bear Lodge, a half rack of ribs with a side of garden salad. It was very good, but the bun was very dry and hard, the compete opposite of the bun I had with my meal earlier in the day! |
With some rain and threat of a thunderstorm causing rides to close, we headed out for the day! It was a great third visit of the season despite the heat and humidity!🙂 |
On our way out, the orange train had gone through another test cycle, passing through the Skyflyer loop on AlpenFury. It is hard to capture a photo of AlpenFury testing as the coaster is quite quiet! Until next time, Canada's Wonderland!🤣 |
